Celebrate Petworth Festival Brings Local Community Together on September 18, 2022
Featuring Live Performances, Art, Culture, Local Business Specials, Delicious Food and Dog Shows
WHAT: The 8th annual Celebrate Petworth festival celebrates the creativity, diversity, culture, and people of Petworth and its surrounding neighborhoods. The festival is free to attend and will feature 50+ vendors, local food, live music, oral history storytelling, a kids’ zone, and more.
WHO: Celebrate Petworth is organized by and for the residents of Petworth and surrounding neighborhoods. The festival is organized with support from District Bridges as part of its mission to enrich neighborhood vitality.
WHY: Celebrate Petworth started in 2014 when a group of community organizers in the Petworth neighborhood came together to create a new kind of neighborhood festival: one that seeks to bring together the residents of our neighborhood through the creation of new opportunities for collaboration, partnership, and engagement between local businesses, residents, and community-based organizations.
WHERE: 800 block of Upshur St NW & 4200 Block of 9th Street NW in Petworth
WHEN: Sunday, September 18th from 11am – 5pm
CONFIRMED PROGRAMMING:
Pre-Festival @ 10:00: Family Yoga led by Yoga Heights (location: Petworth Playground @ 8th & Taylor)
60+ vendors and exhibitors, including local artisans and community organizations. Plus, Skate Instruction will be holding FREE “Learn to Skate” clinics for all ages at their booth throughout the day.
Fitness Demos: Join Petworth Fitness and Yoga Heights for short free fitness classes throughout the day.
Main Stage: Enjoy live performances on the Main Stage from 11am - 5pm.

12pm: Annual Celebrate Petworth Dog Show, presented by Patrick’s Pet Care.
